The Hawk Inn is a great place to meet, relax and enjoy.
Set in the lovely village of Amport, close to Andover and the A303, this historic inn has been brought back to its former glory. The beautiful country inn is now home to a modern British menu, filled with delicious food and complemented by a fabulous ale and fine wine list, nine large, contemporary bedrooms and a sandstone terrace with stunning views across the field to Pill Hill Brook.
The Hawk Inn is well positioned for days out across Andover, Hampshire and the surrounding counties. Amport’s greatest attraction is the world-renowned The Hawk Conservancy, where skilled falconers fly a wide variety of hawks, owls and eagles, including two American Bald Eagles. We’re also only two miles from Thruxton Motorsport Centre and Amport House, home of the Museum of Army Chaplaincy. Further afield, but only 20 minutes’ drive from the Hawk Inn, is one of the world’s most famous monuments, Stonehenge, which stands on Salisbury Plain in neighbouring Wiltshire.
There is plenty to discover right on our doorstep, or simply stay in one of our 9 stylish, modern bedrooms and explore our gorgeous gardens and fabulous pub experience.
There is also space to hold large groups in its private room, which seats up to 18 and is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion with family or friends, or hold business meetings or conferences.
Our sister pubs
We are proud to be part of the Upham Inns collection of idyllic pubs across Hampshire, Berkshire, Sussex and Wiltshire with plans to increase the portfolio.
Upham’s core values reflect that of a traditional country pub with a community focus and a desire to be the heartbeat of the local area. No two Upham pubs are the same but we are united in our passion for producing fabulous food, offering great real ales, craft beers, wines and cocktails whilst providing a welcoming atmosphere.
The Upham Group has given a new lease of life to some lovely old pubs in the south of England, we choose pubs with character and charm, usually in country locations, that perhaps have suffered from a lack of investment and care.
